Performing Art- Classical dance

General Guidelines 

  •  Only one dance per participants out of the given choices.

  • The classical dance can be from any of the of dance, such as Kathak, Kathakali, Bharat Natyam, Manipuri, Kuchipudi, Mohinittam, Odissi, etc. 

  • Duration: 4 to 10 minutes 

 

Bharathanatyam 

 

Judging Criteria 

 

  • Appearance 

  • Suitability and appeal of costumes 

  • Footwork 

  • Facial expression (abhinayam) 

  • Mudra 

  • Rhythm 

  • Presentation 

  • CHOREOGRAPHY : (Variety, Difficulty Level, Visual effect) 

  • EXECUTION : (Facial expressions, Innovation, Formation, Stage Management and Flow) 

  • SKILLS : {Precision, Uniformity and Timing, Rhythm, Use of props) 

  • OVERALL IMPRESSION : (Solicitation of audience, Costumes, Music, Folk and cultural authenticity). 

  • Submission Guidelines 

  • The participant should verbally mention their event registration ID at the start of the video. (Youtube Instruction Video) 

  • The video should be of good enough quality to view and hear the participant clearly. 

  • The maximum File Size should not exceed 100 MB. 

  • Must not be edited, the entire hand and face should be clearly visible.  

  • The camera must be fixed in one place for shooting the video. 

  • Audio should be clear without any noise 

  • The submitted clips exceeding the time limit will be disqualified without notice and his/her application shall be treated as null and void.  

 

Mohiniattam
